(25-11-09) The Dema Show joined industry and professionals of diving, and people of Kanau were there to see the ultimate of the sector and close deals to add to their catalogues the most important innovations. Some of them are summarized here.

    This month there was a new edition of Dema Show, the international fair about diving for professionals par excellence. There we found a good number of the brands we represent in Spain, strengthening ties and analyzing innovations for 2010. Also, we have closed deals with new brands to bring to Spanish market new products and systems.

    The manufacturers of lighting systems for video have understood that, in addition to manufacturing technology, power and color temperature of a focus, size and weight are two very important factors when traveling, and they have shown some products worthy of consideration that we show here.

Aquatica foto

    Brand that presented the watertight box for the Nikon D300s. Manufactured in one piece, as all the models of last generation, starting from a compact block of aluminum and with impressive anticorrosion finishes in black. The D300s starts a new feature in its range of housings that also allows users to work with slave flashes by means of optical fiber.

Aquatica VIdeo

    This is the first fair in which the Canadian brand exposed to professional its video housing HD Wave. Besides the models already in the Spanish market for Sony XR500 and 520, now a new box comes for Canon HF S10, S11 and S100 500. These models are having a spectacular public acceptance due to their small size, its price and the control over all camera parameters.

Light & Motion

    The American manufacturer has shown us the innovations of the well known Stingray Plus and Bluefin where access to electronic white balance stands as a differentiating factor in the whole range.

    Besides the restyling in all lighting systems, with a renewed and smaller design, they showed a prototype of new focus that will revolutionize underwater lighting for video in the next year.

Gates

    Spectacular underwater video housing for Panasonic HPX3700. This professional housing is fully customizable as desire of the cameraman depending on the configuration of the camera. In the range of consumption we highlight the housing for video for the new box for Canon HF S10, S11 and S100 in which the camera control is done through mechanical controls on the remote control of the camera, and which is housed inside the housing.

Ikelite

    They showed their new lighting system. This revolutionary product, called the DS161 is basically a flash DS160 to which has been replaced the key light and a focus of 4 LED has been incorporated. It is particularly suited for reflex models with video (Canon Eos 5D Mark II, Nikon D90....).

    As for its housings for reflex cameras, the novelty is a shoe on the top to put a focus light or other accessory and four anchors instead of two for its front end. These last changes can be applied to old carcasses by technical service of Ikelite.

Seacam

    The Austrian manufacturer show us its reflex housing model for the Nikon D300s with the new locking system, more comfortable and more secure and a new shutter trigger embedded in the box, more ergonomic.

    They also show us a focus, similar to Seaflash 150, specifically designed for cameras with video (EOS 5D Mark II, Nikon D300s).

Epoque

    They release a limited series of housing for video EHS1000 for Sanyo Xacti HD 2000 and HD2000a. It is completely renewed, and shows an unusual appearance in the Asian manufacturer because it is lacquered in bright colors.

    Another item to consider is a front end that is fitted by pressure in the housings of Canon WP DC28 and the new WP DC34 for the G11. This front end transforms the focus of 28 mm of these cameras into 19.5 mm.

Brightstar

    They bet on LED for their new lighting products line. They have developed a new more powerful flashlight than LED3 and a new E12, a small focus, with an autonomy over 80 minutes and the versatility of 2 in one: focus of underwater lighting and focus for video just putting the standard diffuser.

ULTIMAdigital

    Manufacturer of submarine housings to Hasselblad. ULTIMAdigital has trust Kanau to commercialize watertight housings for professional photography in Spanish market. From now, users of professional medium format cameras can have watertight housings for Hasselblad. From a starting price of 17,200 €, the basic package, the photographer can choose different frontal ends, angles and macro for the different focus with which they work.

SEASHELL

    They manufacture the universal housing for 450 compact cameras of different brands, current and discontinued. This manufacturer has trust Kanau to commercialize its products y Spanish and Portuguese market. These housings can be used even when users change their cameras. They are made of transparent polycarbonate and waterproof 40 m. deep.

EQUINOX

    The American manufacturer of housings for video has its main advantage in the adaptability and economic price, but without resigning quality and resistance of its products. It has a series of housings both for consumption and professionals, monitors, mechanical controls and an attractive price that allows any user to enter the exciting world of underwater video.

FISHEYE

    The Japanese manufacturer showed us the new housings for the Canon G11, which will be available later this month. A new universal housing for video with built-in and folding display, new lighting systems with LED technology and new angle lens and small macro are some of the products of this company that always bets on small size and little weight, which makes its products be very suitable for the photographers and traveler video users.
