In this desperate situation they were seen by a freighter that notified the authorities from Iceland. A team of scientists, with very few means went to the area and tried to capture the bears, which offered resistance throwing themselves into the water.

Given the limited capacity of the bears for swimming, they decided to follow up the bears until they can get appropriate means to rescue them from what may be a certain death in the coming days if there is no remedy.
